Once again, the Grinch from Dr. Seuss's masterpiece, How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be on Grand South Grand for his annual "Grinch's Cookie Crawl" on December 8, 2007 at 11:30am at MoKaBe's Coffee House, 3609 Arsenal Street.
The Grinch's Cookie Crawl is essentially a family-oriented scavenger hunt, urging visitors to explore the Grand South Grand neighborhood while finding and eating delicious cookies. The Grinch himself will hand out a list of his lost cookies and where they might be found and will be available for holiday pictures for $5. Proceeds from the photo purchases will go directly towards Roosevelt High School's Marine Junior Officer Training Corps.
Roosevelt High School's JROTC has decided to partner with the South Grand district this year for the Grinch's Cookie Crawl and have already established their "Toys For Tots" collection boxes throughout the community. JROTC members will be on hand during the event to assist participants with the events, as well as promoting the Toys For Tots program, which has collected over 520,000 toys and $480,000 in the past three years for the St. Louis Metropolitan area's needy children.
