It's finally here- the 2nd annual Rehabbers Club Used book sale! Come by after the Rehabbers Club tour Saturday morning or drop in during your visit to the History Fair. This year we're at 1912 Cherokee Street (a block from the Lemp Brewery), with a magazine lounge area at 1908 Cherokee (graciously shared with us by lecturer NiNi Harris and artist Sheila Harris).

We're also expecting this to be the debut of the new Rehabbers Club t-shirts - get a sneak peek and be the first Rehabber on your block to own one!

Thousands of used books, most a dollar or 50 cents. In addition to a ridiculously large collection of fiction, books are divided into the following categories:

  • Architecture/Urbanism
  • Antiques and Collectibles
  • Gardening/Landscaping
  • Cookbooks
  • Travel
  • Music
  • Crafts
  • Children's
  • Graphic novels and comics
  • Business and Management
  • Mysteries
  • Film and TV
  • lots of VHS tapes
  • ...and a whole lot more.

The sale runs Saturday May 17 from 10 - 4 and Sunday May 18 from 12 - 4. Sunday is a bag sale.

This sale benefits ongoing restoration work at the Chatillon-Demenil Mansion. It's just part of the annual Cherokee Street History Fair; the DeMenil Mansion will be offering Free tours all weekend, and there are all kinds of other activities (tours, music, classic cars, authors, sales, scavenger hunt, and more.)
