Tower Grove South Architecture

Tower Grove South hosts a broad range of building types. Exploring the neighborhood by foot is a great way to uncover hidden design gems - fascinating brick details, finely detailed cornices, turrets, stained glass, and even an all steel "Lustron" home!

Our residential architecture includes everything from the stately mansions of Utah Place to postmodern infill, from modest two-family turn of the century flats to an art deco apartment building, and everything in between.

South Grand Great Streets Project News from Alderwoman Florida

Dear Neighbor,

As your alderman I take seriously any action that affects the quality of life here in our neighborhood.

Last week, I was summoned to a hastily organized meeting in the mayor's office. The improvements to South Grand have been fast-tracked by the metropolitan planning organization called East-West Gateway. They have retained a design firm to engage the community and offer a redesign of Grand Boulevard between Arsenal and McDonald.
