Ultimate (Frisbee)

Ultimate (sometimes called Ultimate Frisbee) is a non-contact competitive team game played with a 175 gram flying disc. The object of the game is to score points by passing the disc to a player in the opposing end-zone, similar to an end-zone in American football or rugby. Players may not run while holding the disc. Ultimate is distinguished by its spirit of the game—the principles of fair play, sportsmanship, and the joy of play.

Tower Grove Park

Tower Grove Park makes up the northern border of the Tower Grove South neighborhood. The park is home to softball, soccer, tennis, and a kickball league, as well as to the strollers, joggers, and picnickers who enjoy the Victorian pavilions and sculptures scattered throughout. The park contains more than 8,000 trees and shrubs originally imported by Henry Shaw from around the world.
